Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in food, travel, and life. Hope you have a nice stay!

Best of 2017: Part 1

I haven't had this blog for very long, but I'm already starting to realize that the best part about having one is being able to look back on the memories that you've documented. Here are some of my favorites from this year.

We spent New Years Eve with some wonderful friends in the Catskill Mountains. Six adults, four dogs, a brand new baby, and so much #hygge. It was the perfect way to ring in 2017.

In April, I spent a long weekend in Asheville with my sister and a few other besties for my bachelorette celebration. Perfect weather, gorgeous scenery, tasty food and beer, and so many giggles with these women. I am so thankful to have them in my life and couldn't have asked for a more perfect weekend! My friend Steph did an awesome recap of this weekend on her blog here: Bach Bash in Asheville

May 6th, our wedding day. It was a cozy celebration with close friends and family, right in the middle of crazy NYC. I've blogged a little bit about it here, and definitely intend to share more eventually. Probably my favorite moment of all was our "first look". After a morning that was a tad dramatic and emotional, I felt it all melt away once I was reunited with my soon-to-be husband. Not pictured: women crying on the street corners while watching this first look go down.

Sigh, our dreamy honeymoon on Palm Island. More on this here. While it's 14 degrees out right now, I can't help wishing I was back in that beach chair reading a book and listening to the waves. Maybe we will go back here someday, perhaps for a milestone anniversary.

Shortly after the honeymoon (literally two days later), we moved to New York City. We had spent months talking about it and looking at apartments before we decided to take the plunge. I have wanted to live in NYC since I was 15 (that's half my life!) and now it's finally happening. I took this picture while we were exploring our new neighborhood.

More to come tomorrow, but for now, Happy New Year's Eve everyone! Eat, drink, be merry, and be safe!
